The metropolitan suburbs, evidence new dynamics and diffusion of the present urbanization processes, above all, the various nature of the phenomenon. They are emergent elements of new metropolitan landscape; they show the deep changes happened in the economic structure of our society; they produce important effects for organization of the local communities and for the continuous loss of agricultural spaces and of natural resources.
